 "There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east".

 Message: 
 Job was a very spiritual man, he was a man that was upright (straight and not crooked) and perfect (matured spiritually). He was never familiar with God to the point that he will begin to take him for granted, he feared (reverenced) God and eschewed (rejected, said "no" to) evil and things that are not straight.

 Job was not just an example of a Christian in his days, but he also had physical results to show for his spirituality. Job was a man of substance, he had tangible results to the point that the word of God testifies to it that he was the greatest man of the east. Job 1v3c says, "..:so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east".

 Jobs substance did not get into his head, he remained level headed and became an instrument for God to use and a succour to many. He was eyes to the blind, feet to the lame, father to the fatherless and everything good to everyone around him (Job. 29v11-17). Jobs life was such a blessing to the point that, God used him to boast to satan.

 Job was useful to God and an asset to humanity. It was the spirituality part of him that helped him to stand strong and bounce back from the satanic calamity that he went through. In Jobs case, it was not a demon that was assigned to him, it was satan himself that took him up, but he bounced back and became better after the calamity. The trouble that will swallow you up will never come your way in Jesus name.
